Don't know about modifications, but the best money you can spend is on the Motorcycle Safety Foundation's Rider Saftey Course. It is taught at community colleges in all states. I guarantee that it will be a weekend you will remember! You'll get to practice things that you hope you'll never have to do in a real world situation!
